Having been to college, completed one of many fashion stylist courses or some type of fashion background is a great advantage. Maybe you have even used friends and family to experiment and use your creative skills. As a stylist you will always be reading style magazines and also watching tv programs to keep yourself updated with all the latest styles and trends. A first step on the ladder could be to train as an assistant fashion stylist.

Always have a portfolio of your work, especially before and after any makeover as this will always give a client a really good idea of your creativity. One of the great jobs to get would be to work as a London fashion stylist.
